Lynne, compounded

Hi Lynne, here is my compounded story: I was on original Armour just peachy for

20 years, then they reformulated, tried new Armour n Naturethroid, but both

made me itchy, probably the cellulose (I am very chemically sensitive), so I

went to compounded.

I get mine with rice flour as a filler (because acidophilus was too expensive,

altho I preferred it; they refused to use bicarb of soda, which was my second

choice, so I stuck with the rice flour), and a hypoallergenic capsule without

dyes, colorants, or soy, or MSG. I don't really like compounded, but synthetics

will be my last resort. I really dislike the labs that reformulated our old

Armour and Naturethroid!

To avoid any chance of MSG or soy in the capsule (either can be in gelatin,

animal or veg), I open it under my tongue and pour out the contents, and try to

let it absorb without swallowing, n throw away the capsule.

My suggestion would be to initially go with a slightly higher Rx for compounded

than the tablets you were on, which would probably then be about equal.-- in my

experience.

There are other folks here who know a lot more than I do, but this is my

experience. Good luck~~ Vicki
