Guest guest
I have heard of some folks having a thyroidectomy with local anesthesia. I have also heard of some folks getting their hyperthyroidism under control with herbs and supplements. However, I have no information as to where you can find these options. Please write up the endo who fired you in the database. >> I was fired by my endo after 11 years. > > I have TED so RAI is out, and surgery is only reserved for life threatening emergencies as I almost immediately flatline on any anesthesia. My endo who fired me didn't care. It was RAI or go find a new doc. > > I've had Grave's Disease diagnosed since 1999, and I'm looking for a doctor willing to do long term block and replace treatment with Tapazole, and Levoxyl if necessary, indefinitely. > > I have 2 appointments - one in 2 weeks with an Endo, and another in 4 weeks with an ENT. It's ridiculous that the only docs that 'might' treat me, it's 8-12 weeks for a new patient appointments, so I have to get my backup list of docs well in advance if these 2 don't work. Figures the better docs are popular!> > I'm really lucky that my primary doc is cheerfully willing to prescribe Tapazole while I look for a new ENT or Endo.> > I'm in Austin. > > I wish it was as easy as blasting out 45 or so faxes to all the thyroid docs in town to ask if someone will treat me, but nooooo, I'm going to have to do it the hard way > > Anyone on the list committed to using tapazole long term who's had luck finding a competant doc?> > > Thanks,> >
