zinc and calcium

Andy, I just found out that you shouldn't give zinc along with calcium

as

the calcium interferes with zinc absorbsion. I've been giving my son a

compounded mineral formula including mag/calcium, chromium, selenium,

molybdenum, vit.b 6 and biotin at bedtime along with a separate zinc

supplement. If this is true, when else should I be giving him zinc?

Also,

I've noticed that right after we chelate him he becomes sooooo oral and

puts everything in his mouth- do you think this is from zinc depletion??

Thank you again.

Andy:

Could you please expand on this? I have been giving my son calcium

supplementation from Kirkman's for over a year. He gets 1000mg. I also

give him 15mg of zinc 4x per day. His packed erythrocyts showed his

zinc to be at 5.7 with a reference range of 8-12.5. He also puts

absolutely EVERYTHING in his mouth.

Another concern is my son's copper level. It showed 0.80 with a

reference range of 0.48-7.4. He is chelating with l00mg of DMSA and

25mg of ALA every four hours for three days on, eleven days off. Is

this safe to continue the ALA with this copper level? He is the boy I

wrote about a ton of mercury coming out of him. Dr. Amy said it was the

highest level she had ever seen at step 2 of the chelation process.

Thanks so much for your help.

Penny
