But it's too expensive for a micropractice. You have to buy each age individually. The fact that you can then copy freely is great for a large practice, but not so much for a small one. I pulled screening questions from multiple sources and have them by age in my EMR. Guest guest
Thanks for all the responses. I'm still paper. I use Bright Future progress notes, see about 80% pedes, helps a lot. How Illinois Medicaid is soon going to require providers to implement "some type" of standardized developmental screening tool, one screen for each year from age 0-3. So in total, 3 screens. I will likely do them at age 9m, 18m, and 36m visits. Based on my research, the PEDS (Parents Evaluation of Developmental Status) is a good one (http://pedstest.com/index.php). It's quick to do for parents and easy to score and accepted as a means of screening. I actually get reimbursed a little bit for it too. Thanks again! From: wood.avery Subject: Re: ages and stages/developmental screeningTo: Date: Friday, November 7, 2008, 2:25 PM This is a link to the Bright Futures encounter forms used in Maine - they are .doc documents so you can doctor them as you see fit. http://www.maine. gov/bms/provider files/bright_ future.htm

It's much quicker and shorter.Subject: Re: ages and stages/developmental screeningTo: Date: Saturday, November 8, 2008, 9:49 PM We are about to buy the Ages & Stages Questionnaire. It looks like it's $199 for all ages (4 mos - 5 yrs).
