At 99 cents each, they were a cheap source of protein. I had one a day for about 2 weeks, but the urge faded. I ocassionally have one now, or a 1/4 pounder with just half the bun, but it was a phase I went through and got over. My latest experiment was the new Arby's Turkey-Bacon-Ranch wrap. Lots of protein and only a few carbs. The thing is so HUGE I was only able to eat about half of it. Since we were in the car on the way to Delano, the rest got thrown away. I'd guess that particular sandwich weighed in at close to 1.5 pounds, way more than both and I could have eaten. I had a similar problem at Denny's in DLO. Asked them for the meat-lovers skillit with scrambled eggs and very few ptoatoes. The cook must have decided I looked malnurished since the plate came back mounded a good 2 inches high with potatoes, and three scrambled eggs with all the meats. I ate about half the egg and meat portion and never did touch the potatoes and toast. There was a comment about leaving so much behind and I told the cashier that next time someone orders in a specific manner, they usually have a reason for it. In my case I was a patient of Dr. K.'s. The cashier laughed at that and said they had a new cook and she would make sure the manager explained things to him. LOL It's nice to know we can still have this type of " fast food " without totally ruining our program, as long as we keep it in moderation. Now, where did and hide my Ruffles WOW chips and dip this week? ;-)) Jerry
Guest guest
Vicki, I am more than 2 years out and I still have what I call " high hunger " and " low hunger " days. I am learning to go with it and eat to appetite. I may go days eating small (in my opinion) amounts and then eat everything in sight for many days! Not sure why I do this - maybe " normal " people do this - LOL!!! hugs, cindy lee > man oh man- i cant get enough food in my tummy. i went to carls jr > and ate a whole western bacon cheeseburger. jo- ya need to lecture > me. what a piggy i am. anyone else able to eat a whole burger. when > i had my surgery, this lady came to visit me and told me she has > lost 80 pounds and she was there after just having a tt. anyway, she > told me how bad she is and that she goes to BK and eats a burger > (whopper)almost everyday. she said she eats 1/2 and eats the rest > later. k- i ate the whole thing in 3 minutes flat. what is up with > me?? > > vicki

Other days, I eat a few fries and then can't eat but a bite of burger, So I usually end up not getting fries and getting a double burger and only able to eat 1/2. I figure I get the protein of a whole burger and 1/2 the bread that way....Goofy reasoning huh? Guest guest
Vicki I can certainly eat a whole burger - and even a couple of fries! We are all different. Kristy
