Guest guest
Dear Group, I got this msg form Jackie this AM. I know this sounds weird, Jackie, but I have been thinking of you so much this last week. I just kept thinking "it's time to hear from Jackie. She must be getting better by now". So I'm thrilled to hear that you are finally going back to work. Of course not happy to know that you went though such a horrible time. I too thought the surgery would put an end to the EN. I hope your rheumy has some new ideas. I guess he could look at the long list of EN Causes and Triggers on our Files and test for those that seem a possability. In any event, the power of prayer is so wonderful, and I am so thrilled to have you back, my friend! Love, Hi ,I haven't written since October as I went into the hospital to havethe illeostomy reversed. After the surgery, the colon wouldn't workand they had to go back in and operate to unblock the colon. Then mykidneys shut down, I ended up in the intensive care for 4 days. Ialso developed blood clots for which they gave me heperin and talkedabout putting a filter in if the heperin didn't work. Because I hadbecome enemic, they gave me a blood transfusion. Also, I hadsepticemia and they were giving me antibiotics to fight theinfection. It was a horrible time and I wasn't sure how things wouldturn out, it was touch and go for a while. Because of all theprayers, my body started to get better and they finally sent mehome. I am doing so much better now and will be returning to work intwo weeks.Guess the thing that is puzzling, my legs were great the whole time Iwas sick. Once I came home they started acting up again with painand inflamation. I go back to my rheumy tomorrow and will see whatshe has to say. I am still taking 13 mgs. of prednisone and 75 mgs.of cyclosporin for the panniculitis but it is still red, hot andpainful. Wish I could figure out why it didn't act up over the lastsix months until now.Sorry this is so long, just so glad to be back.Love,Jackie PS: Please join me in raising money for the Erythema Nodosum Research Fund by searching the Internet with GoodSearch: http://www.goodsearch.com Type in Erythema Nodosum Research Fund as the charity you are supporting.
