Meat packers' hormone(s)

Jan, I was explaining to my husband what you said about them adding stuff to

meat, because this is all the meat we buy, Angus 90/10 ground. We have removed

almost everything from the one-skillet meals, all spices except sea salt and

fresh garlic, and an onion, and sometimes I get a horrible allergic migraine and

sometimes I don't.

We can't figure it out. I'm no yeast, dairy, soy, sugar, MSG, kinda avoiding

gluten, He is being very patient. No catsup, mayo, mustard, Worcestershire,

beef base, gelatin, box meals, fast food -- pretty much whole foods as much as

possible.

I am figuring it is those meat hormones. What is the name of them again? I

want to investigate further. We shop at Kroger, so we thought it would be

okay. We try to buy organic when we can, but I'm not sure the Angus is

grass-fed nor organic. We are thinking it has a better chance of it. ???

What is the name of the additives? How would you suggest I proceed? Ask the

butcher, but it's a chain, meat sent to each store? Write a letter to Kroger?

Different suppliers? How can I find out? I've been a Sherlock Holmes on

illnesses before, but now I don't know how to proceed. Thanks for your help.

Vicki
