Guest guest
Hi Jax, I am doing fine since I have been off tx now since July. I was able to complete only 17 weeks and had to stop because I was vomiting several times a day along with the runs several times a day and most of the time at the same time the last 2 weeks. That did not stop until I was off treatment for 2 1/2 weeks. I had lab work done every week from week one ans every week something else went out of wack. I was one of the lucky one who was able to get Procrit and need to do that a few times. My viral load starting to drop . At 14 weeks I was down to 600 and then at 15 & 16 I started moving back up. As a result of all of the above my Doc at Cedars took me off TX as I was resisting TX and was way too sick to continue. I started out taking 1200mg Ribo and 180 of the Pegintron. At week 12 they upped my Ribo to 1400 a day because my VL was moving very slow. I think that is what really pushed me over the edge. I was sick as a dogand seemed to get worse every day. I am due to see my Docs the end of Feb or March. I am single and work a full time job as an Executive assistant. I would stay in bed for days and when I would be able to get up to go to work my boos would send me home after about 3 or 4 hours. He was VERY understanding, Thank God! You know that after taking a shower I would be completely exhausted and would many times just crawl back in bed. Anyway Jax..arn't you glad you asked????? I do want to remind everyone that NOT everyone has this bad a time! This was just MY experience. This site and been a great help to me and I was so very impressed a couple of weeks ago when Dorothy(? )was having a very bad day and you all came forward and really got her threw it...
