Reding everyone's postings about the dinner table has been good for

me. My NPD exHusband used the dinner table as a combat zone.

Recently grown children confronted him about his over the top

behavior at dinner and he of course denied ANY of those things

happened. Denial.

My husband has a difficult time eating at a table also because the

family dinner table was a combat and control zone. He likes to eat

out and will only go to dinner functions at family events.

I am so proud of my middle daughter; she has two sons and a step

daughter. She and husband have established meal time as a family

event and makes every effort to keep it healthy. Take care, mg

This really has been enlightening for me, too. When I brought it up

with my husband, he started to think about it as well. It's a very

valid point. Although unlike Jana, I'm going to keep eating in the

living room!
