Outlawing tobacco and liquor will only serve to encourage an underground

network. People will always find a way to get what they want and the

criminal element would step in to fill the void.

That is just one kind of the nanny state taking over for another. It don't see any problem with telling people about the dangers of these things, but if they insist on doing them, then they should be punished more harshly for illegal things and should be denied coverage for health related issues. If they need the treatment and can't pay, then they get treated just like other debtors, their stuff gets taken away and their wages garnished. If that started happening, people would start drinking and smoking a whole lot less.

Maybe I am cranky today, but I am getting tired of people being told "You can't have this because you cannot use it resposibly, and because the amounts you use will kill you" only to have them set up sme underground network in which people are killed and crimes are committed so that people can have their fix. What does it take for people to get the message? Do we have to shoot people on sight? Maybe we should start a social campaign where people are shunned for drinking, or using drugs, just like they have for smoking. TomAdministratorWho's never won? God. More people we can arrest and keep off the steets.

I like this idea Aspies for social change .org. Group membership,

discounted insurance. A don't call and don't mail list. Information

disseminated, tap into pragmatic solutions and resources. Like what

happens here only. More (like getting our own street cred for being

socially responsible) I think for the most part as a group we keep out

of trouble. well anyway I should be studing for 2 test tomorrow
