Wrist Pain / Numbness in Pinky

Hello all. I am new to this group and hoping to get some advice.

I have been experiencing a pain in my right wrist for a couple of

month now. It started when my husband grabbed it really hard one

time. I have been feeling pain whenever I tried to bend my wrist in

certain way and when I try to hold something a little heavy (grocery

bag, etc). I thought about going to a doctor for this but putting it

off. Yesterday, I realized that a part of my right pinky (upper

outward side) is numb. I don't have any pain or tingling sensation

there. It's just numb. I work in the office and use PC all the time.

The pain in my wrist does bother me when I type. Should I go seek

medical attention or will it go away on its own?? I hate to spend

money on doctor visits and find out nothing. (It happened to me

several times when doctor ran all kinds of tests on my knee pain and

back pain and found out nothing and just prescribed me some pain

killers)

Any advice will be appreciated.

You need to get it looked at. If your pinky finger is going numb, then that

means something is happening to the ulnar nerve in that arm/hand area. I

could be the beginning of carpal tunnel or the beginning of neuropathy.

I have no feelings in my right pinky, right ring finger,and part of my

middle finger but it is due to ulnar neuropathy but it is inoperable because

there is scar tissue surrounding the nerve.
