If you know Flagyl is spreading the yeast why are you giving it? I hate to say but even some of the really good docs cant get away from the drugs because that's what they are taught they don't search the world like many of us have for natural solutions. I got a horrible yeast infection after a doctor overdosed me on testosterone( for chronic fatigue, which turned out to be mercury poisoning). He then gave me flagyl, which blew out my guts and I became allergic to everything and then was RAVAGED by yeast, to the point I wanted to commit suicide,I had to go to Sedona on 2 healing retreats to deal with being in my body. It 18 months and I still have it I have spent thousands trying to recover from it. I actually started a nutritional drink that is making my symptoms better in days when the other therapies are showing little improvement. But , why would you give flagyl, there are so many antibacterial that are herbal and WORK, that wont do harm.

I know that the Flagyl has definitely spread my son's yeast. This

being said, we are due to begin Nizoral next Tues. for 30 days, so

we are taking things one step at a time. We plan in the future to

only use naturals for bacteria/Nystatin to maintain for awhile

unless test results show differently.

The week we started Flagyl, along with some other supplements, my

son began to make dramatic gains. His BM's were completely

different, his spaciness was gone, his speech sky-rocketed, he was

SO affectionate and we keep having " wow " moments. My son has rarely

been on antibiotics, maybe 3 times since birth. I think this has

really been good for him. Our DAN ( Megson) felt that knocking

out the bacteria first was essential in clearing the yeast out

second. Yes, my son has been a little " overly happy " in the past

week or so, but the positive changes have been unbelievable...maybe

because his bacteria level was triple what it should have been

according to his OAT.

I am so sorry that you had that horrible reaction to Flagyl! I agree

that medications affect people differently. For us, we have never

heard our child's little voice as much as we are hearing it

now...priceless.
