Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I was stage 3-4 but wasnt decompensated,, the only lfts that were elevated was my alt/ast... its possible that if you are decompensated and with ascites you are, but its possible that tx might actually make you worse.. I have known several others who were stage 4 who successfully treated but they were not decompensated,,, what does your doc say? debbiel21 wrote: Has anyone treated with a decompensated liver. Guest guest
Hi Jackie My GI doc said he didn't know enough about hep c so sent me to the Health and Science University where I guess they know all about it. I keep expecting the doctor to tell me something I can do. Just come back in 6 months. The doctor won't treat. Going thru tests to get on the transplant list. Don't think I can go thru that but who knows what I'll think about it later. Thinking I might be able to get someone to treat me if I'm on the tp list incase treatment goes not the way I'd like. The hospital just got a judgement against them so there is not cap to what they can be sued for. Hear they are laying off a few hundred to pay for their insurance so don't know if that has something to do with it. Heck, I think if I'm going to die let me at least give something a try. What the heck. So did I read your going to become a naturapath. Anything out there besides diet, filtered water, MT??? Let me know if you find something. I'll still be here. Guest guest
Hi Debbie Yes, I am,, but there is really nothing alternative out there that will cure this disease,, there are many different tx that can help you to maintain your current status but honestly I just dont know about anything that will put it into remission.. Im so far away from reaching my goal that I dont know if Ill ever get there,, but I would recommend you find a good ND and speak to them about this,, be careful tho and dont take anything without clearing it unless we're talking MT, Schizzandra, green tea, red clover, alpha lipoic acid etc as they can and do have issues for those of us with this disease.. I know several ppl who are doing alternative stuff and seem to be holding their own,, perhaps someone here can speak up about what they are doing,, I know that glutathione is oneof the most important enzymes for your liver but taking it by mouth isnt very effective. Alpha Lipoic acid converts itself into Glut, so that is one option of raising that. I sure wish I could help you more,, I've got a long way to go, hugs, jackie debbiel21 wrote: Hi JackieMy GI doc said he didn't know enough about hep c so sent me to the Health and Science University where I guess they know all about it.
