It looks to me like your calculations are correct. Keep in mind that

all the various methods of body fat testing have a margin of error.

You can minimize that by testing at the same time of day, after

drinking the same amount of fluids. I think body fat testing is best

for analyzing trends as opposed to giving you an exact number on any

given day - too many variables.

Are you also doing measurements? They are another great indicator of

progress, and it looks like you've definitely made some!

Thank you. I wasn't sure, the numbers just look odd to me, I don't

even want to THINK about

Yes, I am measuring, as of the end of week three I had lost 5.25

inches, but I measure in 8 places. I had a BAD week 4, so decided to

wait until the end of week 6 to take progress pics and measure

again. Thank you for the compliment I needed that today, I tried on

a pair of shorts I was certain would fit today and I can get them on,

but they aren't baggy like I'd hoped!! LOL! I am going to do some

extra cardio over the next few weeks and try to get the fat burning -

by extra, I mean that I am going to DO the cardio more than once a

week!

I was going to say... I don't want to THINK about the 110.5 pounds of

fat I am dressing up and taking to work every day!! Did I mention I

am 7'2 " ?? LOL!

LOL! You will definitely see results if you get three high-intensity

cardio sessions a week! I am not a big fan of aerobic exercise in

general, which is why I like BFL. The cardio workouts are only 20

minutes, which means just about ANYBODY can do it, even me! I

actually find I look forward to my cardio workouts, because I know

they're so good for me and that the pain is so very temporary. And I

also find that I enjoy other aerobic exercise more when I do my BFL

workouts regularly, because I am in much better shape.

LOL! You will definitely see results if you get three high-intensity

cardio sessions a week! I am not a big fan of aerobic exercise in

general, which is why I like BFL. The cardio workouts are only 20

minutes, which means just about ANYBODY can do it, even me! I

actually find I look forward to my cardio workouts, because I know

they're so good for me and that the pain is so very temporary. And I

also find that I enjoy other aerobic exercise more when I do my BFL

workouts regularly, because I am in much better shape.

ACtually, I am so excited about cardio right now, I am hoping it

won't be a problem anymore.

I know hte cardio is so important for fat burning and I need to burn

a lot of fat if I ever want those muscles to show through. The first

week the first cardio, I tried interval on my treadmill at home, I

did the first interval up to 9 and thought I would die and limped

through last 15 minutes at 2.5 - 3 mph. I have a strange schedule

now and although I have only missed one upper body workout in my six

weeks, I only did cardio 1-2 times a weeek and have not tried the

interval again. I did get a stepper for work so I could do cardio

here when I work nights or 12 hours shifts, but I have never been

able to last more than 10 minutes on the stepper - one of those small

ones with just the feet and no adjustments, for other cardio I have

been walking outside with a girlfriend, we go 2-3 miles and usually

walk 45 minutes to an hour, but no interval, unless you count the

hills.

I worked a 12 hour night shift last night until 6am this morning and

had to be back by 2pm today to cover a shift for someone else, I

commute 2 hours each way, so I stayed at the hotel nearby, which has

a fitness room. I have decided to adopt a NO EXCUSES attitude. So

at 6:30 am I went down and got on the treadmill at the hotel. I

haven't been on my treadmill at home since the second week for 20

minutes at 3.0 mph and have not tried interval since my first cardio -

this is the start of my 6th week. My plan the first week was to do

2.0 mph for 5, 2.5 for 6, 3 for 7, 3.5 for 8, 4.0 for 9 and then 4.5

for 10. See how it went and adjust accordingly, but since I barely

made it through the first 6 minutes...

So I get on the treadmill and spent 2 or more minutes figuring it out

and warming up at 2.0, I felt good so decided to try the interval at

the same speeds I had tried the first week. Not only did I do the

intervals without a problem - as a matter of fact, because I had

trouble with the settings on the treadmill, I actually did one EXTRA

interval before I realized it, but when I got to the final interval

and the 4.5 minute, I was definitely nowhere NEAR a 10!!!! I was

actually laughing when I got off the machine I was sooooo happy!!!!

I'm sure the other folks in the fitness room thought I was a loon! I

almost raised my hands over my head like I was coming across the

finish line when I finished up the 4.5 minute!!! LOL!! I can't even

believe the difference, I am going to try to do my 5s at 2.5 tomorrow

and work my way up to 5 mph and if that is not a 10, I will move up

to 3.0 for my 5s!

I could hardly sleep for wanting to go try it again for fear it was a

fluke!!

Thanks for the advice and encouragement! I will soon be a fat

burning machine!!
