Medicare Advantage & Payment for Immunos Question --

A Medicare advantage plan in our area is

charging patients copays (20%) for their immunos, saying a claim has to be

filed to have this covered by Medicare B for the patient to recover the 20%.

The patient had a Medicare covered

transplant, has active Medicare A & B and has chosen a Medicare Advantage

plan with prescription coverage.

I have been in touch with the health plan

and a supervisor will be getting back to me.

Have people run into this scenario

before? Thanks much for your help!
