Guest guest
Dear Brigette, I would say your hubby's dr. did all the right tests, and it is too early to know what the tests show. Once the tests results come back he may prescribe an antibiotic to address strep if it is there. Yes, a dermatoogist would possably try potassium iodide. I would hold off on prednisone. EN can go into spontaneous remission with rest. So get him to rest as much as he can with his legs elevated. Some lucky people only have one bout, but it can last for months. We are all different. Stress is something that tends to make EN worse, at least for many of us, so don't panic. I never heard of anyone dying of EN. I hope this answers your questions.
