Guest guest
Judy: I had the obey part taken out of our vows just as I did my first marriage. I did like the honor, love, cherish, through sickness, through health, through good times and bad, through wealth and poverty for all the days of my life. But, I refused the obey part because it has been stuck into too many wedding vows, around here it mostly the very fire and brimestone baptists and holiness churches that do that. I was married both times in front of the magistrate and had it taken out. I consider myself in all ways, even in front of the magistrate during our vows, an equal, not beneath my husband nor him beneath me. Guest guest
Judy, My wife nags, collects furbabies and featherbabies (she has rehabilitated birds from blue birds to hawks, raccoons (sp?), dogs, rats,...), snores like me, hates when I complain about pain, doesn't understand what I do, has gained as much weight as I have, and never liked to cook. You take the great with the not too. She has a list of my minor flaw (she claims flaws but I forgot to mention exaggeration above). We've been married almost 30 years, and I hope we can be as happy as you two in another 10. As the country song (sort of) said, he still looks at you like you looked when he first looked at you. I guess I wouldn't haunt her if I woke up strangled, mangled, and dismembered one morning! But when you get up, you wish each other a day at ease, contentment, laughter and joy, safety and security.
