Guest guest
strep for PANDAS isn't actually strep in one place, it's all over triggering anti, antibodies to strep that attack the brain, so removing the tonseils aren't going to change that Recovering from Autism is a marathonNOT a sprint, but FULLY possible!Read more about it on my BLOGs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelkinghttp://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwishes Re: Re: PANDAS Hi Pamela, Yes we do have a DAN! doctor but he does not know anything about PANDAS. He even checked my sons throat and said they looked normal. That is why I'm so concerned about him having a tonsillectomy. He never has strep throat just high strep titers. His throat looks normal and the Doctor feels the strep is embedded down in the tonsils. I'm just making sure that is the only place the bacteria can be. But from reading some of these posts, it sounds like it can be in the gut also. Christypamelaleighcomcast (DOT) net wrote: Hi Christy, Welcome. Do you have a DAN! doctor? Guest guest
PANDAS is the overproduction of antibodies, not the strep itself. Having strep in the gut doesn't necessarily equate to PANDAS.CherylI know there was a thread about this last week or the week before, butI'm still a little confused.'s DAN! tested him for PANDAS...said it wasn't a problem. but theimbalances in his gut listed strep. So did my other son's and so didmine. Christel...I think you thought that they could. what would Ido about it? OLE? How much? my kids are 3.5 and almost 6. about 40and 50 lbs. we're getting ready to start brainchild yeast protocol. with candex, cell food, biocidin, oregon grape extract, garlic. will any of thathelp with strep? Thanks,Kari> > Hi Christy,> > > > Welcome. Guest guest
I don't know if I would call that OCD then, that would seem like normal kid with interest changing, (but I am not this childs mom either) OCD in may son is the SAME non interest change. for our son it was letters and numbers. it's controlable and he doesn't get STUCK on it unless he is in a PANDAS flare. he can't leave activies involved with it, can't be tested in rooms with the alphabet with it up, he says the vowels over and over, spells things, writes the alphabet over and over. can't play, can't stop goes into melt down with out doing it ect. Recovering from Autism is a marathonNOT a sprint, but FULLY possible!Read more about it on my BLOGs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelkinghttp://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwishes Re: PANDAS I see OCD behaviors. with , they change every few months. we'vedone trains, roller coasters, planets, now we're on to time andtemperature. I'm sure i'm forgetting a few. it's not totally out ofcontrol like i've seen other people do, but i know it's not right. mylittle guy was OBSESSED with basketball for over a year. (maybethat'll come back to help us someday...he can still drain some prettycool shots for a 3 year-old!) now...mowing grass and parking cars. oh...and license plates. he gets SO distracted in parking lots iknow all kids have interests. but these guys seem overboard to me.
