AT & T was the only company I didn't check out! I will now. Thanks.

Myria,

T-Mobile has a cell phone(s) that will connect to the cell network through your Wi-Fi internet connection.

This makes for no long distance charges anywhere in the USA and none of the minutes count on your bill when the call starts on the WiFi. If you start your phone call and it connects through Wi-Fi (any Wi-Fi, including Starbucks, Boingo, your home, airports, etc) and then switches to the regular cell network the whole call doesn¢t cost anything or count towards monthly minutes.

This isn¢t some weird hacker-type connection, it is a new capability called UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) and it costs $10/month (T-Mobile@home option) on top of a $45/mos cell phone plan. It is available everywhere in the USA because T-Mobile¢s network includes the AT & T network coverage. F.Y.I. the phone that appeals the most to me is the Blackberry 8320, which you can get free through Amazon.
