Guest guest
I can't keep quite any longer.... I would rather eat the road apples my horses leave behind then anything with stevia in it!!!!!! I can't stand the flavor! I have grown it my self, by seed and from a plant I bought at my local geenhouse. It grows easy, no matter how I used it I found it discusting! I am allergic to cane suger and the subtatutes offered are even worse! I make my own maple syrup and use that, or frozen juice concentrate, apple is best. Agave is good and rice syrup will do I'm a pinch. Lucky for me I never liked sweets. I was one of those kids that refused cake and would have fruit or veggies dresses up fancy for my birthdays! Cabbage heads with pineapple, raisins, carrots and dates stuck all over it with toothpicks was a likely birthday " cake " for me! Speaking of nasty tasting stuff.... How do you make broccoli sprouts edible? I find them way to spicy for me to eat. Kale is a litte better. I wanted to eat some every day while my broken leg heals. They have lots of bone healing stuff in them, but only if I can choke them down! So far Chia seeds are the tasty alternative! However I still have a pound each broccoli and kale seeds, and I can never use them all up in the garden as adult plant! For one thing my kale reseedes each year so I don't even have to plant any! Any hints on making the sprouts less spicy? I hate to mix them in with my good sprouts and ruin those as well! But covering up the spiciness takes some doing! I can't do dairy and my almond cheese is too pricy for daily eating, but does hide the spiciness when used in quantity. Any hints?
