Guest guest
Well, I finally have my fna results from Dec 21. The nodule in the right lobe was benign. But the one in the ismus was unsatisfactory. So I have several choices, one I can repeat the biopsy, two I can wait and ultrasound in 3-6 months for change or three refer to a surgeon for removal. With my sister her results were inconclusive and the found the cancer when they removed her thyroid. My husband is bringing home the US report from earlier in the month. I was told by my doctor that nodule in the ismus had grown, that is why they wanted to biopsy it. They radiologist that did the fna said it hadn't. That is odd to me, why else would you biopsy other than shape change or growth. So I want to read it. So I'm trying to figure out what to do next. They took three samples in that nodule so I honesty do not think a repeat biopsy will do any good. Which leaves me with the wait and us for change or remove. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Everyone have a Happy New Year!!! Kate
