Guest guest
Elsie, I have a book entitled " Lead is a Silent Hazard " copyright 1994. It deals primarily with lead in children but in the back lists contacts for more info. Names (and area codes) may have changed in the last 7 yrs...For OK it lists (405)-271-4471, Dr. Edd Rhoades, Medical Questions, Maternal and Child Health, and for TX 1-(800)-422-2956. Hope this helps. If you need the info for other states let me know. PS. Van Gogh and other artists had heavy metal poisoning which explains some of their behavior. S -------------------------------------------------------------- I'm trying to find some information to give to a friend regarding lead pois oning. He has a sister who is very ill and they have diagnosed her with a disease I have never heard of, let alone to be able to pronounce or spell i t. When he was describing some of her symptoms (which sounded very severe) , I kept thinking metal poisoning. His sister used to be an art teacher an d her big talent was making stained glass. She taught during the mid to la te 70's and early 80's, so I know she must have been exposed to lead (in so me paints, too, as she was a painter). When he told me that she had lost the tips of her fingers (I'm thinking.....she handled that lead so much wit h the tips of her fingers, it must have something to do with this). Most o f my research has been on the mercury issue for my son, so I haven't really researched lead too much. If anyone could provide some direction of where I could find some links to help him research this, I would really apprecia te it.
