Dear Barb,Below is the Questionnaire. Wr have hundreds of completedquestionnaires on the Group Site [under Files] for members (and futureresearchers) to compare. The Questionnaire covers basic questions andmembers can be as detailed as they wish in their answers. Thisquestionnaire and other messages for members is maintained our Groups"Messages for Members" Files at the Group site.Love,1. Your name and age: Barb 572. Your location: Alabama3. Your email address: barbara@...4. Your Yahoo ID: barbarakeel5. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group. My symptoms are hormonal. I got my first ones when I hit puberty, just thought it was due to my many accidents. With each pregnancy, I got them as the first indicator, like within days of conception. With menopause, they came back sporatically. I joined because I have been worried for a long time about lumps in my upper inner thighs that my doctors just told me were things not to worry about. I discovered by accident online that they have a name, idiopathic nodular panniculitis. I joined the other group to find out more about them but was told my concerns were not important. In truth, I was hoping that here I would find out more about this.6. List any other health conditions. I have asthma. I also have had Lyme’s disease 4 times and am just recovering from this summer’s bout of it. Since starting the medication, I have been bitten twice more by the Lonestar ticks. I think that there is something in my blood that attracts them as family and friends can go to the same spots with me and I am the only one who gets attacked. I hate ticks! My brother had Ankylosing Spondylitis and I have joint pain when I sit still long enough. As a result, I am always on the move to keep from getting stiff. I work too hard and too long, but at least I sleep like a log at night. My children’s father also has AS and now 2 of my children have been diagnosed. This is an autoimmune disease that causes the spine to fuse as they age. It causes great pain and deformity. The only treatment is exercise and chemical therapy which they are not willing to do, the chems. 7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their effectiveness: I take no medication for anything if I can help it. Occasionaly, when my lumps would get super sensitive, I would take Aspirin. I will now take an Aspirin if I work too long or hard and cry when I sleep.8. When did you first get erythema nodosum or PG? Age 129. How long have you had erythema nodosum or PG? Off and on now for over 40 yrs10. Do you agree to treat all EN members with respect? Definitely11.Do you agree to post NO advertisements for any products or services? Yes12. How did you find this Group? (Google, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves referral from someone on the other group.Search, referral from another group or person etc.)

alpha one is a missing or deficiency of a enzyme on chromosone 14, I think I got that number right. has all the links to find information on it. it is a simple test. if you do have the deficiency there are meds for it but I hope that your health insurance coverage is sufficient because you probably will not get insurance coverage if you do have this deficiency. testing can also be done confidentially without even famiy dr knowing...` jan aka burn
