Kinda sad but...not really

I just had my oldest 2 kids' birthday party (they have a birthday 6

days apart & are young enough not to mind celebrating together)

today, and for the first time I didn't invite nada. It was such a

fun little party! It struck me that it was such a natural thing for

me to not want nada there. In fact I remember briefly thinking about

inviting her, but I brushed it off immediately, didn't even think

twice about it. Of course, she would have ruined the event for me

one way or another, miffed that she didn't have enough photos taken

of her with the kids or something similarly selfish. But it was nice

without her. I feel pretty comfortable with that. 6 months ago I

couldn't have considered it.
