Guest guest
Hello, All... I have been following the 4 vs 8 hr dosing issue quite closely, and I seem to be getting a 'mixed bag' of responses. I guess what it comes down to is practicality of administration vs chelation efficiency. Dr. Cutler makes sense in his remarks that 4 hour dosing results in a higher continuous Chemet blood level, but (at the same time) running precisely at 4 hour intervals (round the clock for a year or more) could (quite possibly??) result in the 'learned behavior' of a 4 hour sleep pattern. My son is a 'night owl' (we HAVE to use melatonin) and his sleep patterns are erratic at best. My question is for those families dosing religiously every four hours: Has/have your child(ren) developed erratic sleep behaviors as result of 4 hour dosing? Have any of you tried 'split dosing' (4 hours apart except bedtime when you dose for 8)? If so, any adverse effects? We're going to start chelating in 2 weeks, and (as the saying goes): "Let the baby sleep". If 8hr dosing at bedtime is a possibility, we'd like to try it...but not at the expense of doing this right. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Regards, Rob
