Guest guest
Well, what I know from reading a PDR, and by experience, is that Estrogen and Thyroid (and my heart medicine Atenolol) use the SAME uptake system, so if you take them together, or close together, you will NOT get all the use of all the medicines. This also includes taking calcium and iron - or vitamins, with the above. Also consider that some orange juice is calcium-fortified, and other foods like cereal, are iron-fortified. Can't take any of that together, in my experience. SO, I take heart pill when I get up. Take 1st thyroid pill about 10 a.m., take 2nd thyroid pill about 3 p.m., take estrogen at night when I go to bed. I have to separate them during the day. I am taking compounded Thyroid 4 grains by mail that seems to be all right. I asked them to leave out the -ose sugar, cellulose, dyes, and to use gelatin capsules. So far, okay. And vitamin C really eats up estrogen, (I don't even try C with thyroid, it's too precious!). I suggest you don't take your estrogen with a multivitamin or orange juice in the morning, I learned that the hard way a long time ago. I bought a magnifying glass to read ingredient labels!!! I'm dairy, yeast, sugar, soy free, and considering gluten (dread). Hope my experience helps you, and good luck. Vicki
