Here is a map I found with both Canada and USA on it. It is one on a

railway site but it doesn't have like the roads or anything. Just the

states, and what I assume are states or maybe districts or parrishes in

Canada.

http://www.acsu.buffalo.edu/~brauza/lis518/

For instance, where I live is listed on the East coast. The state is in

purple and listed NC for North Carolina.

The website is under construction but if you consider that the most western

part of North Carolina is the mountains which have the Blue Ridge Parkway to

drive on, you have one portion of NC. Then in the middle of the state is

the piedmont area then the area closest to the coastline but still somewhat

inland, is considered the coastal plains. If you study any type of history,

you will hear about the brother's famous airplane flight. It took

place at Kitty Hawk and if memory serves me correctly, they flew off at Kill

Devil Hill. It is basically a sand dune. I live in the middle between

the coastal and the piedmont region. I am about 5 hours from the mountains

and about 2 hours, about a hundred miles, to the beach.

I hope this map helps.

They're called provinces.

No offence, but Canadians always find it strange that Americans know

nothing about us. Why is that?

another point I noticed is that the news services in america deal with

american issues and don't report on the rest of the world.

(unless it deals with them)

Actually when I was in San Fransisco, they thought Australia was

attached somewhere near Canada.

Now I did wonder how they did think this, with most of our country being

very hot a desserty, and having very hot Decembers.

I know the internet is drastically changing that, because we bring all

these issues to their attention. :-)
