Guest guest
CONGRATULATIONS and what a beautiful update!!! WOW!! Smile all day today woman, because you are beautiful! 124 pounds in 9 months! Amazing how different we all are! It took me over a year to lose 101 pounds! SO where are you going to post a picture of that size 14/16 bod? We wanna see?? I have found that Goodwill, and other thrift stores are an awesome way to get new to me clothes as well!!! 2.50 for levis and they are already broke in! 3.00 for slinky little black dresses and sequined evening dresses! For 20-30 bucks you can go home with a ton of fun new to you stuff and not have to worry about whether they will only fit for a week or two! My sister hunts the yard sales and brings me anything she finds in a size 6-8 or small-medium.....and at a quarter to 50 cents each, who cares if they fit! I can donate them if they don't! After a few trips to the thrift stores, I am having a hard time spending 30-40 bucks on brand new jeans when the same ones are less then 3 bucks and once the new ones are washed twice they will look exactly the same!! Guest guest
you are a girl after my on heart i love thrift stores congrats on you 9month ann. you sound very happy and healthy take care and have a great day amber 9 months post-op today Good morning everyone, Well today it has been 9 months since my surgery. The first thing my DH said as I walked to the scale this a.m., " well honey the last time you thought about 9 months time span, it was definitely a weight GAIN !!! " As I always gained huge amounts of weight when pregnant for our children. I know I have had my ups and downs like so many others, but I have lost 124 pounds in 9 months ~ awesome huh ? So then I had to measure. I have lost a total of 82.25 inches in that same 9 months. I had to get rid of my 18/20's and am now mostly in 14's/16's or a size large. Boggles my mind at times Seems like fewer pounds at this point give more progress to the changing body. Yesterday I had been feeling sort of blue with lots of stresses in life going on (too much to get into here) and so I decided I was going to go buy some new clothes and get rid of the 18/20's. So I took the too big clothes to the consignment shop to drop off to sell. Learned I had sold $18.50 worth of my other clothes that were there...so that meant I could shop more It was weird to try on XL and have it too big But I found another dress, and about 4 cotton pastel t-shirts, some v-neck, sound round. Just nice casual cotton shirts. Then I went down the street to Goodwill to see what they had. I found 3 more cotton shirts for only $2.00 each. What a bargain. As I was looking through a bin of slips, bras etc this lady there told me about this other shop called 2nd Chance down the road and across the street. She said they have really good bargains there. So I figured why not check it out. I found 2 more dresses for $5.00 each and found a cotton nightie I will not get all tangled in as it fits and another cotton tank shirt with a collar. So all in all I spent less than $25.00 and came home with 3 bags of new to me clothes that all fit great. I need new bras again, but how I hate to spend that kind of money for just a few months, as I just bought some about 1.5 months ago. Maybe I can take them in on the sewing machine.... I also got my hair trimmed up yesterday. Had not been to see my gal in awhile as I have been letting it grow out some. When I walked in Barb's jaw fell to the floor, and she said " My girl, I do not know how you have done it, but your look fabulous " . That sure felt good to hear, I really needed to hear it. So I do not know if I will get to goal or not, but I am trying to. Feeling a little better about things today...
