Your experience is mirroring mine. I was tired for a long time...12 weeks marked a remarkable turn-around for me! I exercised mainly indoors, too, and not very much... Guest guest
Jeanne It is completely normal to still feel extreme fatigue at 4 weeks post op. For me I think finally started to feel like I would get some energy back at about 6 weeks. At 8 weeks I went back to work and that first couple days kicked my butt. However, finally getting back into a normal routine did even more to help regain the energy to get through the day. At this point you are still very much in recovery mode....that's OK. I would suggest that each day you do try to push a bit more getting back to normal activities. Expect that you will be able to do it for a day or two then you will be knocked back on your behind for a day of rest. Your energy will ebb and flow. Take advantage of the sunshine and DO get outside for some part of each day (when the temp is at a comfortable level) Being outside will help to regenerate both your body and your spirit. Your doing great! Jo

Guest guest
Jeanne I had significant fatigue for 8 weeks. So, yes, it is normal. Kristy
Guest guest
Jeanne, it's totally normal. It was told it can take three months to get back to your normal energy level. Hang in there and take naps if you need to! Tracey > Just wondering if most people were still extremely fatigued after 4 weeks. I > can doze off at any time, all I have to do is close my eyes...lol.
