" Dr. Koplewicz, said: " It's like with AIDS. Everyone needs to be

concerned and informed. "

This is what these ads are trying to say about you if you have AS or

autism, and until you guys stick up for yourselves, I am going to

start beleiving it because it seems that you would all rather fool

around and then feel sorry for yourselves afterwards rather than act

responsibly now and do for yourselves.

Ari posted the following in another forum, and so here, once again on

a silver platter, is a way for you guys to do somenthing...

What more do you guys need? Any other way we can coddle you?

Take a look at the Wall Street Journal Health Blog as well:

http://blogs.wsj.com/health/2007/12/14/ads-about-kids-mental-health-

problems-dra\w-fire/

And please sign the petition:

http://www.petitiononline.com/ransom/petition.html

And even more importantly, the more people who call, write and e-mail

the Center, the more evident the public pressure:

itemid=21

Thank you all for your support and thank you, Tom and Raven for

helping to publicize this important issue!

After signing this, I went and read all of the signatures plus comments. This comment below was one that I believe should be heard over and over.

"I'm sixty-one years old and autistic. I've led a happy and successful life — by anyone's standards. I have no sensation of ever having been kidnapped."

this is an animation

short of Dr Seuss's Gerald McBoing Boing.

This would have been a better campaign. With a note that stated that

pride in a child doesn't require money but seeing the value of the

child/Adult
