Guest guest
Hi , I am Donna and too was injured in and accident. Nobody understood the depth of my pain either. Frustrating, isn't it. Sometimes it's worse than the pain. Boy, am I familiar with that feeling. My injury was different in that I landed in a boat, from a flying up in the air position on the right side of my butt. It jammed my hip bone, fractired my tailbone and T12 in my thorasic back. My ribs hurt of years after and not one wanted to believe me either, even the dr. that I was seeing, for 5 months. Finally, my GP took pity on me and sent me for another mri and they found the problem, but it was too late. The damage was done and not found and everythng healed wrong. I know how bad you feel. You can't tell anyone about the pain and make them understand what it's like. I think it's especially hard on young people cause they have youth in their faces and always look beautiful. I am 60 and have lived with my condition for 14 yrs. It's real hard. And I worked in a factory til last September. Then I couldn't go anymore. Also have artheritis in my hands and shoulders on top of everything else. So honey, I do understand. Only you have to fight it from a much earlier age than me. If you want to talk more I am here. After the accident I felt like something became jammed in my left upper buttock area. I have been disabled by the severe chronic pain the accident has caused. I have seen numerous specialists and nobody can pinpoint the cause of the pain.

Guest guest
Hi Donna, Thanks for the reply. Wow, 14 years is a long time. Does the pain get worse as time goes by or stay about the same? I know I haven't had the pain very long compared to a lot of people. It is scary to think that I may have pain for 60 years if I live a long life. I am only now thinking it is going to be lifelong because the first couple of months after the accident I was healing up I thought. I felt pretty good then took a couple of car trips and lifted a box, then that was it. I have never been able to get any better since. Is it normal for the pain to fluctuate a lot? If I do too much, I pay for it a couple days later and then it takes at least a week or more to get to the point I was at before I irritated it. The pain is slow reacting, so I never know what I do to irritate it. One more question? Were you angry at the doctors for not believing you and then having it be too late once they found something? Does the anger go away? I am angry at the ladies who hit me because they were being very irresponsible when they did it and they did not even come up to me afterwards to see if I was okay, which I was not. I really wish they knew that they had ruined someones life!! Well, I am already feeling less alone in this. Thank you. > Hi , I am Donna and too was injured in and accident. Guest guest
Dear , Welcome to this group, The pain you describe could be Reflex Sympathetic dystrophy. Tell us, does Ice make the burning worse? Have you attempted to keep the area immobolized and found the immobolization to work in one way but the burning pain is worse? There are many great places on the internet that can give you information but the burning, and sharp stabbing pain is indicative of sympathetic pain and spreading to the other side of the body goes along with it too... Seek as much information as possible, you see,If it is RSD and if the docs find it soon enough, they can get it into remission. Please look up the info and make an appointment with your doctor right away. Good Luck and God Bless, Daphne

Guest guest
Hi . Welcome to the group. Unfortunately if it truly is asthma you will have to use the Ventolin as directed. There are several other asthma medications as well. There are several things you can do naturally that will help, but they will not be near as effective. One natural brochodialator is caffiene. I would suggest that you see an asthma specialist for a full evaluation and allergy testing to help identify your triggers. Best of luck. Post any questions you have. This is a great group.
