Wow! That should be lots of fun! Two C's in the Bariatric wing

Hi !

What would I have liked to know before my surgery? Hmmmm. I would

have liked to have had a trapeze bar, then maybe the abdominal

spasms when I tried to sit up wouldn't have been as bad. But,

seriously, other than the spasms I wouldn't say there were any

surprises. I recovered much more quickly than I did from the DS.

The initial pain was worse than the DS but that dissipated in a few

days. You know, there is one thing. I wish someone would have

warned me about how " poochy " my stomach would become after the

tuck. I was extremely disappointed because it was so flat when I

first woke up and the pooch showed up in just a few weeks and has

never gone away. It doesn't happen to everyone but I think the

older you are, and the less elastic your skin, the more likely it is

to happen. Also, don't let them tell you this is an outpatient

surgery! You may not need to stay in the hospital, but make sure

you have the option, just in case. I stayed for two nights and

really could have used a third.

Hope this helps,

Hugs!
