Guest guest
Hi Janet, and welcome! You and your family sure have been through a lot, lately. How fortunate your son is to have a caring, understanding family. It sounds like things may be going in the right direction? Is your son on medication? Is he involved in cognitive behavioral therapy? (I'm not familiar with Marillac, sorry). What are his interests? Does he have brothers/sisters? I know what you mean when you say it's hard to see a child go through such a difficult disease. I've said many times to my daughter, Anne, (12 years old, dx OCD in October 2002 but retrospectively had 'hidden' symptoms several years prior to that; on Lexapro and involved in daily ERP and home and weekly therapy; loves animals and music; great sense of humor and a heart of gold) that I wish I was the one to bear this burden for her. It's been more difficult than I ever imagined, and we have miles to go, but she's come soooooo far. How are you doing with your breast cancer? I think you'll find a wonderful group of caring parents, here. This has been my lifeline for sanity, comfort, and information. Again, Welcome!
