In mysurrounding southern states the State Medicaid plans offer only 4-6medication slots, which of course is not enough, so to show financialcompliance we ask the patient to fund-raise. The problem is that ourfoundation in my hospital doesn't want to house the money, because thepatient could be listed for 1-3 years, and that is monies that in theirterms are considered "unaccounted for" since it cannot be posted to aspecific account for payment. I wanted some suggestions as to whatother centers are doing to facilitate the patient who cannot forinstance go to a bank and open a saving account, because of an interestbearing account would be considered as income and would count againstthe patient qualification to continue with a State Medicaid plan.
