Hi All,

This is kind of OT from BPD but if i hadn't been posting here I don't

think I would have been able to do this:

My NPD father called last night and asked me to compose (he used that

word because he's so helpless he needs me to come up with the correct

words) a letter to BPDbrother to sign off on giving him back

something he had signed over to my brother and me years ago.

First off, I thought if he wants something from my brother whhhyyyy

does he have to involve me (I'm in NC mode with brother). Secondly,

it's sssoooo like him to give us something and than take it back.

I'm sick of this! It's not like it's something I wanted anyway, it's

just something that was supposed to help us keep family assets in the

event of his and Nada's death.

I said " NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT. I WILL NOT WRITE THE LETTER! I DO NOT

WANT TO BE INVOLVED WITH ASKING BPBROTHER FOR SOMETHING. " He just

said he'll find someone else to do it. Fine. I'm so proud of

myself. I guess this is what a 2 year old feel like when they say no

to thier parents. I have never in my life said no to him.

I really think this is one of my fleas always wanting to please other

people even when I feel something they asked me to do was wrong.

So there, I'm ready to be a three year old now. . .

Great big congrats! It really feels good when we take our power

back. Remember that feeling....and that you can experience it again

and again.

So, now that you are '3', is it time to celebrate your birthday?

Good job and hurray for you, cntbreathe! That is annoying to be

asked to do something that dad is certainly capable of doing!

Way to stand up for what you want to or don't want to do! Way to

take care of yourself, even if it feels a bit strange!

I think your saying no is much more mature than two. Sounded just

like an adult to me.
