I have heard that some people get diarrhea after they have it taken out. Marta __________________________________________ I lost my GB in 1992, And it gave me terrible diarrhea shortly after I ate, Funny thing is, since my Ds revision, I Haven't gotten the after eating diarrhea. I think mine was more the RNY the last few years, and I was just blaming it on the GB...Maybe the GB stuff was getting better, and was replaced with the RNY problems? in Bama VBG 1982 (lost from 433lbs to 270's) VBG -RNY1996 revision(Lost from 343 to 299) RNY-DS revision Dec 2002 -down 135 lbs (377.7 to 242.2 and still going) Homepage address- http://hometown.aol.com/mdl1031/myhomepage/profile.html Many thanks to Dr. K willing to take on a 3rd timer....LOL

Only this time I won't stop until I weigh over 400 pounds. Oh God, I don't want to be obese again!! Tracey _________________________________________________ Tracey, Stop and think, You have a malabsorptive component to your WLS. Most people would have to make some really bad food choices to actively start gaining weight. When i was in Gatlinburg, I ate candied Apples, ice cream, mexican food, Shoney's buffet with lots of potatoes(With gravy...LOL), Fudge....And basically nibbled junk.....And I maintained instead of gained....Pre op, I'd have gained 3 lbs. So sit back look at your eating patterns and Make good choices. With the malaborption, you can splurge occasionally, but if the splurges get to be habit, then you have problems. One thing I have learned is this....And this is personal experience. My biggest problem is frustration....I want it and i want it now! I want the weight gone, I want the PS over, I want it all and I want it now...LOL. When I stall, I get frustrated, then the emotional starts to kick in. Well, If I'm not going to lose fast, I might as well eat what I want....And this emotional eating pattern is what made me obese to begin with. Your a very smart woman....Look at your choices...Instead of a candy bar grab cheese. Peanuts instead of peanut M & M's...LOL. And (my personal problem) leave the chips at the grocery store....LOL. Some people are lucky post op, they lose easy and keep it off easy. Others have a little harder time, not that it's hard to keep off, it's just that it's not as easy...we have to make better nutritional decisions than others. I know for me, the best idea is to never go down that chip aisle...LOL. Instead, I eat popcorn, which isn't as bad for me as the chips but still gives my salt cravings what they want. I Don't buy bread, except the Ezekiel bread, That way I'm not tempted to eat white bread...LOL...It helps too that it's on the same aisle as the chips...That works to unless I need Toilet Paper which is on the same aisle.... UGH..... Tracey, Anytime you feel down, E-mail me...I'll give you a pep talk. I'll look at food journals and try and help you figure out what's wrong....If you want that kind of help....I can help be your cheerleader...All I ask is the same support in return when I'M in my blue moods....Help me get back on track when I've been a BAD girl...LOL... This may be more than you wanted.....I just hope it helps you to feel l;ess alone and know your not the only one who struggles. in Bama VBG 1982 (lost from 433lbs to 270's) VBG -RNY1996 revision(Lost from 343 to 299) RNY-DS revision Dec 2002 -down 135 lbs (377.7 to 242.2 and still going) Homepage address- http://hometown.aol.com/mdl1031/myhomepage/profile.html Many thanks to Dr. K willing to take on a 3rd timer....LOL

(Not that I can afford to go out for lunch.) I have a problem with salty stuff also. It's still such a struggle. Hugs! Tracey Have you seen where Sonic has low carb buns?
