Guest guest
good day! i would appreciate anybody sharing with me their thoughts regarding my son's condition. he was tested positive for clostridia and yeast from his latest organic acid test. the past fewmonths, he had a bad allergy/post nasal drip, which lasted a few months. eventually, he developed some motor tics (shaking of head, twisting of wrists and ankles). he had an EEG done, and seizures was ruled out. it was just a simple tic, which will eventually go away. i got him off his probiotic support formula and gave him culturelle instead, and at the same time, OLE and xlear nasal spray, plus the A & I formula or new beginnings (for allergies and immune support). all this time, i stopped his antifungal (nystatin) because i noticed he would tic more with nystatin. after a week or so, his allergies were controlled, and so with his tics, it was basically gone... then a week after, he had caught a cold again, and the tics came back. i have been reading that tics and allergies are in a way related. just recently also, i have given him mb12 shots, and i have been reading from here that mb12 can cause yeast overgrowth. am thinking of temporarily stopping this, until his tics are controlled. funny thing is, i read that yeast can cause tics as well... right now, he has his usual vitamins and mineral (spectrum complete) cal/mag citrate, zinc picolinate, vit c, vit b6, coq10, cod liver oil (carlson's), colostrum, OLE and xlear nasal sprays, culturelle, A & I formula and MB12 shots. am thinking of adding more supplements that can help him with his immune system. so am adding an antioxidant formula (from new beginnings)... any advice or insights would be appreciated. thanks karicreehan wrote: Those reports are what prompted me to implement SCD before we did thevanco/flagyl. and we had other naturals on board to help keep theclostridia from returning. I'm not sure if we've been trulysuccessful yet, it's been 2.5 months since we did the abx. I'm hopingat this point if it was going to make a nasty return, it already wouldhave. Most info I've seen says it comes back within a few weeks ofdiscontinuing the antibiotics. His abdomen is still slightlydistended. I do know that yeast is still an issue. but behaviors aremuch much better.Kari> >> > Has anyone used vancomycin for clostridia for long periods of > time.My > > son is doing a 6 day trial.> >> You rock. Guest guest
I think you can also consider tics realted to strep, you can google PANDAS, in this case, OLE is prob helping but rx meds would be the first option if I were you. If tics are related to allergies you can have a look at www.naet.com I have not direct experience with naet yet but i´d take a chance, actually i will in near future.
