Guest guest
I too am a 'closest lister'- lol. Actually that came as a suggestion from my T in order to pull myself out of depression- to organize my day and have a routine and schedule and all kinds of stuff. For the most part it works until the list takes over and I confuse it w/real life- its only a list - a guidepost, not the actual journey. But probably b/c my nada was so disorganized too lists help me out. My nada couldn't find even her stuff in the mess, total chaos, and it was usually somebody elses fault. We had to dig in the pile of unwashed laundry in a hall closet and shake out something to wear to school. Remember the tv commercial when the guy opens a closet and stuff falls out and buries him; that was our closets at foo home. This 'flea' however does not make me a 'betty homemaker' ... is not about houseCLEANING, but all my stuff is in labeled boxes with individual catagory bags inside...the boxes are in neat stacks...that might hit me on the head one day, haha. I have this flea. I make lists constantly. If I don't I cannot remember a lot of stuff that I need to do on specific days. I was so bad, I couldn't even remember that I had an appointment the next day, if I was called the night before to be reminded of it. I will just have to work harder & just make the very minimum lists & keep them on the computer. I now keep my appointments on the computer & program the computer to remind me over & over until I have gone to the appointment. Organized I am not. The worst part of it is that I am a packrat. We never had enough food or clothes, & we weren't allowed to have books unless they were school books, no paper, pencils, & things of that nature. So what do I stock up on, clothes, shoes, food, tissue paper, towels, washrags, & books. I have around 1000 books on the shelves & in boxes. I have another 2 or 3 thousand on CD's. I have to have these things or I go into a panic. Most of my lists are to help me get organized with the stuff I have. I am slowly fighting myself over having so much stuff. The only thing that I cannot fight with myself about is the food & toiletry items. Debbie
