Guest guest
Dear ; I am so sorry to hear that your daughter has this wretched condition. I usually have a peculiar feeling or a feeling of my legs 'not being quite right' that warns me of an impending episode. I'm not sure how to teach your daughter to recognise if she's feeling this. In the past I've had as much as a couple of week notice. I also used to get 2 rather small nodules just above my ankle that would be very mild and not hurt too much. They would go away after a short period of time and then I'd get the full blown attack. More recently I seem to catch mild cases of whatever germs are flying around, one immediately after the other. I seem to have 2-3 weeks of feeling under the weather, not really sick, and with mild flu/cold symptoms that never really get worse of go away! The full blown episode arrives just as I think I've licked the flu/cold stuff. A number of years ago (about 15 I think) I was told by my rheumatologist that she felt that my En was a symptom of Lupus. However I never developed any one symptoms and I believe that current medical thoughts have changed about this link. I hope this is of some help to you and your daughter! I wish you both the very best of health- bobby From: erythema_nodosum_Group [mailto:erythema_nodosum_Group ] On Behalf Of msmandy74Sent: Thursday, 28 April 2005 6:45 AMTo: erythema_nodosum_Group Subject: Hi Hi all,My name is and I just joined your group. I joined because I have a 5 year old daughter who has erythema nodosum. She gets unexplained fevers, joint pain, stomach aches, and those horrible nodules that have now become the size of quarters. They used to be a lot bigger. They are painful. Can any of you tell me if you can what symptoms you get before an outbreak? And have any of you heard a link between this and Lupus ????Thank you, --No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.Version: 7.0.308 / Virus Database: 266.10.4 - Release Date: 27/04/2005 -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Dear ; I don't have sensitivity as a precursor to a flare up but I do once I have the nodules. I also tend to run a rather high fever when the nodules are particularly active so that could be the cause of the temp/sun sensitivity. Is that of any help? My best advice is to hang in there, read all you can, ask every question (especially the ridiculous ones!) and do whatever it takes! bobby -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Hi, I just noticed almost 3 weeks ago that I have a supra clavicular swelling on the right side of my neck. Today I noticed it seems to be getting bigger and is a little painful. Anyone have this before? Pam
