Guest guest
You're lucky. Allie fisted Dinah in the face two times by 4 weeks old. She also picked her up and threw her down around six weeks. I think she did it to make her cry, she seems to like any sounds to come from Dinah. She's much better now, but if left with her too long she tries to whack her. (Dinah's five months now.) Guest guest
Oh no not good Debi. When Allie threw her down did it hurt Dinahs head at all? I mean did she show any signs of shaken baby syndrome? You know the empty glare, tired ect. I sure hope nothing came of the fall. also took a big tumble at 7 months old. just watched him roll over several times off the bed and fall. she paniced and just starred I think he was fine but didnt take him to a doctor. Wow you have to take Dinah everywhere with you even to the bathroom to make sure Allie doesnt hurt her! I had to do that with and too. I dont think Allie knew she was hurting Dinah just probably something that happened tried to undress and ripped his ambilical cord off! Charlene -- Re: (no subject) You're lucky. Guest guest
No signs of any problem at all, we were very lucky. Allie picked up Dinah as I think she was trying to be like her big sister and then realized how heavy Dinah was. Allie had her under the arms and thrusted Dinah forward. Dinah's feet were touching the floor, so there wasn't much distance. Thankfully since my house is a disaster there were some clothes on the floor next to the bed. Dinah sort of went to her feet, then her knees, then softly landed in the pile of clothes. I think it hurt her feelings, but nothing more. Dinah's five months old right now and showing absolutely no signs of autism so far. I forgot how fiesty five month olds are. The good thing about the girls is that Dinah's getting so big every day that Allie can't carry her like she used to. My real problem seems to be that I catch Allie loving on Dinah and then when Allie sees me she recoils real quick like she shouldn't be touching Dinah. I tell Allie over and over she's the best big sister, along with Jess, and she can love her sister whenever she wants. It's just that think of learning appropriate vs. inappropriate.
