What tests do I ask a new doctor to have taken?

I will be going to a new doctor in the new city I have moved to--Temple, Texas

and I have to start the search for a GREAT THYROID doctor all over again.

Please help anyone with suggestions. What test exactly do I ask them to do?

Since I am paying big bucks out of my pocket for this insurance I want to shoot

for the works. What would a dream blood work panel include? What I ask for and

what I get will probably not be the same but it will help me if I am educated

about the differences. Thank you ever so much for what you do here. I have

been a lurker for awhile and find I get confused as to what numbers are what. I

do however know to try to find one they will send me to which prescribes

Armour..but is there anything else i should ask for when looking for a doctor

besides if they go by lab values are how patient feels?
