Guest guest
I looked at our state website last night about testing children with disabilities. There's a manual on there and according to it, YES can have extended time on end-of-course (EOC) tests. The manual was dated Feb 2003. So I called the guidance counselor this a.m., told her, faxed the pages I'd printed out. So now we will see what happens. But it gets me that 2 of the teachers stated that there were NO exceptions (even for IEP) for the EOC tests regarding extra time. And if " I " am right and he can have extended time, then just why were they wrong? Changes no one told them about or have kids been missing out all these years or.... My older son said that if they have good attendance (usually do) or something, then they (my twins) probably won't have to take the EOC tests anyway. I think it was good attendance and OK grades...and they'd be exempt from them. Well, I'll wait to see if I'm right!
