Hi Joyce,

As an fyi, we transplanted a 19 year old 2

years ago that had enough work credits to have Medicare on his own.   I also

had a patient listed who was 20 that also had enough work credits.   There is a

chart on the SSA web site that shows the # of credits and age.    As far as the

other answer that it would dilute their SS benefit, I am sure that is on the

website too and also you can email basic questions and they will respond.

Does

anyone know where to find the info regarding being covered under a parent’s

SS? I thought this was only the case for a disabled child?
