Guest guest
Sorry to send this twice (really three times since messed up my first try and cut off some words).....but, some people do not read the body bio heading so I wanted to make sure it was posted under Dr. Amy's Kids. Guest guest
When I asked for admission to the list, this is what I said,My son is under the care of a DAN! physician who has done little chelation himself, but who is following Dr. Amy's protocol. I was also considering getting an appointment with Dr. Amy herself, but wanted to assess the merits of people's experiences by looking at the archives because I couldn't find anything published which told me what the actual experience was for most people. I was rejected on that basis. A friend whose child had undergone DMSA chelation got worse under chelation supposedly done with a Dr. Amy protocol (I still don't know what that is), and never got better. Can you understand how to an outsider this seems to leave us thinking this is still so experimental and we would like to have more information? And how shutting us out seems to be cultish? Since the moderator would have the ability to end our membership at any time, I just don't get it. It is sad that we cannot join hands, and do that for the safety of our children. Bodybio is a major part of the solution, how can you ignore that? I hold no grudges, but only ask that we work together. I can wait, and when all this turns around, and more and more parents learn of what Dr.Kane can do for their children, they are going to be angry with someone, and it is not going to be me. I say this to you only because time is of utmost importance. Best, Forrest's Mom
Guest guest
Rose, I think the group was set up for parents who are doing chelation as kind of a support group. My request for admission was similar but I was also doing the chelation. I had not made an appointment to see the doctor at that time and told the moderator. I just wanted the support from other parents dealing with chelation. This group is an open forum with open membership that allows individuals to express their views and opinions on a number of issues. It gives a great representation of various protocols to be considered. I am sure that since the moderators of DrAmysKids are members on this group they felt a need to start a group restricted to parents who are chelating. I was rather suprised to gain admission given my son was not a patient of Dr. Holmes at the time. I understand you feel that shutting out individuals may seem cultish and I am sure had you gained admission you probably would have felt the same way. If you posted the questions, please provide positive and negative experiences regarding your childs treatment with Dr. Holmes, you would probably get 100% positive responses. This may to some to appear cult like but remember it is just a group of individuals who wanted to get together to share experiences. They did not set up the group to discuss the merits of the doctor or her protocol. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Rose, you may find it interesting to check the polls section of this listserver's website for the 8 versus 4 hour question. Dr. Amy currently uses the 8 hour protocol. She used to use the 4 hour one. A lot of people have discussed this on THIS list, too, and you can find that in the archives. Guest guest
Dr. Holmes uses both dosing schedules, depending on the child and their need. Guest guest
Rose, this list has lots of recovery cases and case histories in the archives, and several have compiled some of the cases, including me. Some of the compilations are available. anyone know the URL for such? Bernie
