Guest guest
Dear Jan, Hubby had no useful vision in his worse eye due to both the cataract and the field loss form galucoma, so he figured nothing to lose when he had cataract surgery.Because of glaucoma, he was at higher risk to lose what little was left. But he had a very good doctor and came out of it with much improved vision and no need for glasses. They used to wait longer to do this surgery, but now they do it when the patient decides. It was a fast recovery, and not painful. I count my blessings every day. Even though I hate to spend so much on heath ins. instead of on life's little luxuries, I am happy I still can afford it. I guess you could say heath ins. is my one big luxury, and I am thankful that I am not so sick I need to use it. Good luck at the doctor's!
