Guest guest
Dear Jeff, Participating in Grand Rounds really is an important service you are providing to those students. For many it will be their only opportunity to meet with a PG patient for a long time. And it sure helps that you are an intelligent, informed and motivated patient. I'm sure you made a great impression on those soon to be practicing doctors. While EN and PG are not life threatening, and are rarer than many disorders, I think that research goes where the money is. Taken as a group autoimmune disorders affect a huge number of people, and there is crossover on meds that are useful for many of them, as remicaid as you mentioned. And I am not so sure EN is that rare. In fact, I had to fight it out with NORD to get EN listed. I won, but I think mostly I wore them out and they said if they got evidence to the contrary they'd have to omit us from the list. If they saw how many members were in this group they just might get suspicious. I thought my problem days with Google were over, but now they have dropped the Groups URL again, so I need to get it relisted. We can be found in a round about way by first going to another site and then linking to ours, but we should be easier to locate than that. Oh well, here I go again! Have a Great Weekend!
