That's what she ( the urologist about 3 years ago.) said too. I was booked into have a simple surgery procedure to stop it, and I opted out of that. Guest guest
E {:-}Greetings: Shaz, with in the last month I was advised to talk to one of the local medical supply companies about incontinence products. Being female I expected to received a visit from another female in the form of a sales rep. To my surprise the person who came by to demonstrate the products was a man. So what is the point of this message, well during the conversation one of the bits of information I gleaned was that many people of all ages use incontinence products. There are all kinds of designs and products out there that can make your life more liveable. I have also found that the medications offered to control bladder leakage mainly dry you out. I know I ended up going around with a dry mouth all the time, and that's why I don't use them. I would rather use the incontinence products and somewhat limit my liquid intake. That works for me. Also in my apartment I keep small throw rugs with protective padding in front of my bed and livingroom seating as a precautionary measure. Be Blessed E. A lot of people, especialy the elderly, don't drink enough because they are incontinent. This results in the bladder shrinking. And there fore it wont hold as much urine and thus increasing the urge to go to the toilet more often. To avoid going all the time, make it a habit ( that's the key) to drink alot. The intake will stretch the bladder to hold more, and that will delay the urge to urinate. I'm with you, i'd rather use the products if necessary than take medications with their side effects. ~Shaz. :-)
