I think it should be okay. I don't think there is

any damage: you just have less doses in each

chelation cycle, so you won't get as much metal out

each time. That is okay. It might take more cycles,

but it takes a long time anyway..... and you need to

consider everything involved.

By the way, since it is the " off " days that you are

concerned about, you could also move the whole schedule

back even more (--to Wednesday as day 1 on?--) and get

it situated so that the OFF days start on Saturday

(or whenever you want).

best,

Subject: 2 day vs. 3 day dosing

I am new to all of this and have found so much information in reading

through these archives. We are in the beginning of chelation with my 3

year old son. He is just on DMSA so far every 4 hours. My question

is, can anyone tell me the harm I would be doing to do 2 day cycles vs.

the 3 day? We do weekend cycles, but I am finding his behavior at home

and school is really affected from Mon.- Wed. on the off cycles. I

have cut his dose way back to about 15mg/4 hours and still have the bad

off days. I would like to start dosing on Thurs. or Fri. am and do 2

days to have time to recover before Mon. Will I be doing harm or

voiding any effects of metal removal by doing this? Thanks for all the

good advice I have found here.
