Guest guest
Hi fellow TFC's, I have a patient with an indivdual commercial retirement plan, not yet on dialysis, who is going to be scheduled for a living non related kidney donation soon. He does not have ESRD Medicare yet, but he is eligible. The way I'm thinking this will play out is that he will need to use his out of network benefits here at the time of transplant from his commercial insurance, but once ESRD Medicare is in place, the indivual commercial plan may request $ back since Medicare will be prime. Apprecaite your experience with this scenario.
