started wearing a wig

I decided to start wearing a wig. It didn't happen over night. First I went

with very short haircut, that lasted a while but my scalp got more and more

noticeable. So I buzzed it and went with caps, hats, scarves or just the buzz

look, some people look brave like that, I just looked like a sick person who

lost there hair. Then I went to a really good hair replacement center, I looked

on line but wasn't comfortable buying one like that. I told the owner I had a

100 budget, this place was pretty high end but he worked with me. I also

brought in a prescription and didn't have to pay tax. I am on medicaid and am

not sure if it will be reimbursed but everything helps. So we tried on many

wigs and found one that really fit my big head. Then he cut it to my face and

told me if I want to trim it any more he would do it for free and to come back

any time. Definately a challenge to get used to, but I wear it a lot, that is

the only way to get used to it. I also find wig tape is essential for me, I

feel like I can move and wear it and it doesn't slip and slide. Without the

tape I felt stiff. Anyways it is actually nicer than my real hair was. Well

just wanted to share one more experience in surviving this difficult treatment.
